Towel Care

Because starching is used in the production process, we recommend washing your towels before use, as they may be a bit stiff when you receive them. Tighten the tassels before washing. Don't use bleach or fabric softener. Fabric softener will actually make your towel less absorbent! A cold or warm (maximum 40°C) gentle wash with detergent, low spin, with similar colours and line dry, is recommended.

Should a twisted type tassel come undone, simply split the tassel into two and twist each part separately until they spiral together as one and re-knot it. Washing in a mesh laundry bag helps in protecting the tassels from coming undone, but is not necessary. Turkish towels can go in the dryer after the first use, but make sure to tumble dry on a low or medium heat. Spot treat stains. Do not bleach. Bleach damages the cotton fibres, making the towel less absorbent and soft.
